I agree that bar and online hookups are a disaster. I would say to join some social activities and meet people through common interest. Even volunteer work. If there are no other Canadian Prarie boys... I would move. But I know not everyone is willing to do that.

To all you calling this guy a sinner and telling him to repent and switch......why not help him out and agree to date him. Or think about this. If you had a daughter - would you want her to marry someone who was trying to convert from being gay to being heterosexual?

i don't think you should compromise yourself. only hook up if you wish to hook up. if it's companionship you want, be with someone (well, of course, easier said than done) who will take things slow with you. things will fall into place.
