For example, Scott Peterson was convicted of second degree murder of his unborn child. Which states, or governments, have laws or court precedent allowing someone to be convicted of 2 murders if they kill an unborn child?

It is interesting to note, that while Scott Peterson was found guilty of 2nd degree murder for his unborn child, if the mother had chosen to terminate the pregnancy herself, it would have been protected by law.

I know that you weren't trying to go there with it, but I couldn't help but say it...

Most states do in a case like that. The fetus has to be a certain age, though.

probably wrong but i thought they issued a bill making it that way in all states, named after the peterson case

every state has that law, if you kill a pregnant women and the child dies as a result of her death your are charged with the death of the child also!

i know that missouri does and so does florida. i know because i was raised in florida and live in missouri.
