If it was a good fruit and vitamin health shake, similar to Jamba Juice, I'd choose the drink, because it is a meal in itself.
So I would choose drink.

A meal and if that meal includes fruit, then I'll use the fruit juice to wash the rest of my meal down. Ha, yes it's true I did find a loophole in your question.=)

Back in The 70's? I'd said a Bottle and a Doobe. But I'm much older, and very much wiser. I'd take a good southern Meal, anyday. American by Birth. Southerener by the Grace of God!!!

What are you, psychic?! I was just sitting here, thinking that I'm kinda hungry, but I had a HUGE lunch, and probably don't really need to eat dinner...And a drink sounds good (vodka and diet 7up), but will it go right to my head if I don't eat something first? Decisions, decisions...
Aww, what the heck - I'm gonna throw caution to the wind!!! A drink it is!
Cheers!

Meal, most foods contain water in them anyway, so that way i can be hydrated and dont have to starve (a glass of water wont fill me, duh).
emperor has a nice way of putting it, though. Pretty true, but i am talking about best survivial basis.
