Acting takes a lot of hard work and commitment. If it is something that you are passionate about, then get yourself out there! Take as many classes as you can, training is important. It's also important to try out for things whenever you get the opportunity. You won't gain experience if you never go out for any shows.

Once you've been in a few shows and taken a few classes, you should begin to put together a resume. Keep adding to it until it's meaty enough to bring on auditions with you. Then you'll be able to send it out to casting directors, agents, etc.

If you are planning on acting professionally, then you also need to get your head shots taken. A professional actor doesn't settle for a photo snapped by a friend. Do some research on photographers that take head shots that are nearby.

Keep on putting yourself out there and gaining experience. Before you know it, you will be considered an actress.
