Most Energy Drinks contain high amounts of sugar and caffeine. That's what gives you the "short term" energy. However, consuming these energy drinks are bad for you.
If you are concerned about your health, you may want to consider an alternative. I drink an energy drink that is HEALTHY for you, works in 5-10 minutes after you drink it, lasts for several hours, and is a lot less expensive. It does not give you the rush of energy then a "crash".
