I've heard that car won't stay in good condition if you leave it in a garage for a long period of time, is this true?

it won't hurt a thing to sit for a month, there are a lot of cars stored for 6 months that are never started.

It depends on what kind of car you have. If it is an older model car then yes it would be okay to let it sit for a month without being started ~ if it is a new model then have someone that you trust run it around the block. Also I would recommend that you change the oil and oil filter before you leave. Cleaner oil is easier to circulate. Also check your battery to see how old it is. A newer battery is likely to hold a charge.

If the car is in good running condition right now, just parking it for a month will do no harm. That is not considered an excessive amount of time. If the battery is in good condition, it shouldn't even need a jump.

o yeah.. other wise when you come back the battery will be dead. it takes about 5-6 months of sitting for big problems to start happening.( oil and gas will go bad and gum up all the lines}if you have a trickle charger just disconect the battery and leave it on the trickle charger while your gone . Other wise have someone start it every 3 days if its A new car or every 2 days if its 93' or older.

Yes, it is true, Its good if you have someone start it up at least once a week. Cars that stay without being driven, they will cause problems in the future. But 1 month is not a long time, so I wouldn't be too worried. Its just that your battery might go dead if you don't drive it. But, i would recommend having someone starting it.

Not for a month. The battery might discharge, though. If it's new enough you would be upset about replacing it, you might want to hook it up to a battery charger, otherwise just see if it's Ok after a month, and if not jump start it, and see if it holds enough of a charge. But the mechanicals can stand a month sitting there.
