Okay, so I am far from insecure and I am 100% aware of the fact that there are many beautiful women in the world. Heres the thing though, I really am a pretty girl (not cocky, but I know that I take care of myself and look good), and I only care what my husband thinks about my looks. So shouldnt I be the prettiest girl in the world to him? If he thinks other girls can be pretty, and absolutely gorgeous (of course he will!), shouldnt he just think they are a DIFFERENT pretty, and not PRETTIER?? My husband told me that he thinks there are woman hotter than me, and it kind of hurt my feelings. Whats the deal? do all men compare to their girl when they check out other women?

I just think a man marries someone for the whole package. He was attracted to you for your looks - but your personality is what made him want you as his lifelong mate. Seeing pretty girls definitely doesn't mean he wants to be with them. The fact he feels secure enough in your relationship to tell you, says a lot. He doesn't think you will feel threatened or hurt. He is simply wanting you to also be his friend he can say "Hey - she's hot." Then he goes home with you. In turn, as long as you are allowed to say "Hey - he's hot!" it should be fine. Take that passion home with you and unleash it on each other. It can be fun!

I think what he said is mean. Although he may not have meant anything by it, tell him he hurt your feelings. My husband did the same thing to me early in our relationship and now if he tells me I am beautiful I think he is lying to me. It made me very insecure. Talk it out with him and hopefully things will change. If he is a good guy he will realize that hurting you is not a cool thing to do and he will stop.

For me.. I definately would want to feel like the prettiest woman alive to him. Even tho that I know its not true. My feelings would be hurt to if he said that to me. Even if its true He shouldnt made you feel like second best. I think all men compare to their girl when they check out other women, But it takes a caring person to not hurt ones feelings, just like you wouldnt want to say something to hurt his feelings even if its something true.

he told you the truth and what really matters is that he loves you, but nooooo, you don't want to hear the truth, you just want your own sugarcoated version of fantasy land specifically for you
there will always be women out there pretier than you, is that all that is on your mind, that your husband only stays with you because you are pretty? then i sure would hate to see what happens in a few years when father time hits you a couple of times with the ugly stick

Ummm....no not all men do this....but some do. Maybe tell him that there is a REALLY hot guy you saw today LOL. Maybe he didn't think it would bother you that much because you are secure in how you look and secure in your relationship that you know he wouldn't leave you for another.

He is a snot nose.... He could have made you feel like a Queen instead he made sure he had you where he wanted you. Doubting yourself and your beauty. He needs a good swift kick in the behind...........
