I was just looking up an answer and came across this quote, "Remember the early 70's ? Complete and utter bilge. All glamrock, teenybop, and homogenized Uptown Soul. And worse, mainstream Rock had somehow contrived to degenerate into an abyss of inconceivable tedium, pretentiousness, and self-indulgence. " That rings true to me. How about you? If it wasn't the 70s, which decade was worse?

I posted this on your other question, and I'm posting it again.

oh, I think this decade is the worst. All of these stupid little five minute rock bands that are out now are all the same.
The 70s started out not too good. I mean they were coming off the steam of the 60s which was the greatest decade. But the 70s ended with a bang. It was the birth of many great bands.
Black Sabbath was born then. U2 was born in the 70s. Aerosmith, AC/DC/, The Eagles, Dire Straits, The Grateful Dead, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Neal Young, Lynard Skynard, Van Halen and ZZ Top.

There were some really good bands.

defiantly the 60s construction as much as the 70s - the Nineteen Seventies has a lot variety with led zeppelin construction off the 60s blues motivated rock and then the punk circulate such as you stated music stared getting greater aggressive for the 1st time. in the 80s anybody kinda grew to become into p*ssies and who had the final hair replaced into greater considerable than the music yet then the 90s kinda bounced back with the full grunge/nirvana factor yet issues worsen and worse from there with a majority of those whiny emo bands and little 'indie' childrens going loopy with 4 chords on the acoustic guitar not even commencing on cutting-part pop and dubstep and that i dont advise to rant yet i in my view met a woman the different day that theory the rolling stones replaced right into a clothing variety and thats especially depressing

Probably this decade, because it is all about the money and fame. American Idol has ruined the world with that Daughtery guy. 80's were sweet; 90's spurred Nirvana, Alice in Chains, STP, etc.. but now is just bad. (I am only 24 so im not some old man complaining about the youth)
