you may never know definitively.....you need to live into the answer. do what you enjoy or what you have to do to survive and pursue your interests....then set goals. For example if you are in school, you need to get good grades and participate in some extra activities that you enjoy. If you go to college your first two years are basic classes that you need for any degree and take a few courses you enjoy.....I took children't lit and subsequently became an elementary school teacher....if someone had asked me when I was in high school what I would become in my life, the last thing I would have thought is a teacher!! You'll find your way.....stay in the day, one day at a time, always do your best to keep a sound mind and body and be on good terms with people in your life and get good grades....you'll wind up where you belong!

Chances are you won't stick with your first career anyway, most of us between 30 and 40 explore a new path.

When you go to college, take the basic General Education courses, and take courses that look interesting to you. When you take those courses evaluate the long term prospects of getting a degree in that feild and move forward.

There is not a reason in the world to have your mind made up today or tomorrow even.

You need to sit down, and draw up a list. What do you enjoy doing? What are your hobbies? Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors? Do you like to be around other people?

Then take this list to your guidance counselor at school, and they can assist you in coming up some options. Keep an open mind, and don't rule out anything. You might be surprised at what you end up doing.

Good Luck!!
