I walked in on my brother kissing his boyfriend. This was about 2 years ago, I was 12 or 13. He was 15.
He looked horrified that I was going to say something, but I just walked up to his bf, said "Whats your name?" and then shook his hand and said "I'm Lillie, nice to meet you."
They are still dating, and I totally approve. His bf, Owen, is really nice, and really "part of the family" nowadays.

This is an excellent question. You see, growing up, I had 13 straight solid years of all-girls Catholic school. So I was well aware what homosexuality is. (Wait, I realise that I'm actually telling quite a different story here. It doesn't quite answer your question but I thought the variety would be handy.)
It just turns out that I inherited my gay radar. I'm impressed with my Dad - I think he also supports homosexuality but I'm only assuming as I haven't heard all of his views, only as a businessman. He thinks that male homosexuals are excellent employees, until they have boyfriend problems. Quite the romantic statement, I think.
I’m giving a juxtaposition instead:
There’s me, one of the thousands of Catholic all-girl school alumnae. And there’s my friend whom we will call L. She’s from a co-ed school. We met in college. She transferred to my school to pursue a different course. We’re like each other’s foil. Here’s our story:
We were at a mall and I was just jonezin’ to go into The Body Shop. She surreptitiously gestured to me to go ahead without her because she had stopped to talk to someone who came up to her. I passed by them swiftly, equally surreptitiously thanking her (there was a long line at the counter), as to not interrupt the conversation and so I rushed off.
After several minutes, she entered the shop, joining me. I asked her wistfully who was the cute guy she talked to. She asked why I was wistful.
I replied with a knowing smile, “Because he’s gay.”
(But, of course, I’m not against homosexuality. It’s just that we’re each other’s foil and sometimes, girls do get a little wistful when there’s a cute guy who would truly would be more interested in the shoes we’re wearing rather than letting us know we’re sexually attractive for him.)
My friend’s jaw dropped. This is what she told me: the guy whom I just passed, whom I barely gave a glance, didn’t even get to chat with, because I was rushing into the store, was a classmate of hers from her previous school. They became friends at the start of term and she only found out he was gay when she was introduced to his boyfriend and that was around the midterm exams that term.
Again, it doesn’t really answer your question but I thought it was somewhat pertinent.
(Goodness, this is a bit long. Those who read from beginning to this point should receive a prize of some sort. Lol. Cheers!)

At my last job, there was a deaf guy that was gay and i never thought he was. After i heard he was thought could totally tell that he was gay by his mannerisims. The voice is a pretty big indicator if someone was gay or not.

My best friend told me he was gay when we were 13. I had no idea what he was talking about! Hes still my best friend today and now we have another best friend who is also gay. They are the best people in my life. My family love them more than me (i'm convinced)!
