of a v-tec 4 cylinder engine coupled to a five speed automatic? Mines around 600 rpm...is that too low?

if the car has no driveability problems and doesn't stall after hard acceleration, then it's fine. heck it'll even save you on gas. to my knowledge my car idles at about 750 rpm. there's no harm in the vehicle idling at a low speed unless you have stalling issues.

All of the Hondas I've ever owned have had fairly low idles. My current 06 Si idles warm at about 750. That seems to be pretty common with other Hondas that I've seen.

600 is fine. You could go upto 750..... if it idles good at 600 the leave it alone. If it sounds like the car is ready to die then turn it up to 700.

can't go wrong with 750-850 RPMs 600 might be a little to low

My old Honda idles at 800 rpm. I think that's about right.

Honda idles prety low. Check on the underside of your hood and it should give you a factory idle setting as well as valve clearance,etc.

550 rpm with the engine warm and the transaxle in drive.
650 rpm with the engine warm and a manual transaxle.

should be around 1000-1500 average, yes yours is too low.
