Cuz in case they get their pants wet they always have an extra pair or shorts ready to go. Boys think ahead, even more so then women in many cases.

They are called boxer shorts and they are a type of underwear. Not all boys wear them, but many do. In my experience, not very many people actually like them, they just wear them because of peer pressure. That's really the main reason people wear them. But some do find them comfortable, it's really a matter of personal preference.

if its the summer...and u see a pool u dnt have a swimsuit so u jump in or u just wear it in case its really hot so u take off ur pants and are in shorts.. some just do it cause others do it

I agree with both of these guys, but another reason they wear shorts under is cuz they don't have any clean boxers! haha!

Well....they are called boxers. Because it is more comfortable than girl underwear, like bikinis or boy shorts. Hmmm good question.
