Mine started when I found something of interest to me, all of a sudden I didn't need to be told to get up off the couch. Just pick something that requires motivational participation. Mine was heavy weapons fighting, I feel like a teenager again.

I think setting goals helps - either at work or in your personal life. It could be as simple as thinking ok tonight i'm going to cook a awesome healthy dinner or i'm going to go to the gym three times this week.

It may not work for everyone but i find it helps to have something (particularly an end point) to focus on.

Changing something often helps re motivate me... if i'm feeling bored and un motivated at work i change my colour scheme on my computer or i'll listen to a completely different genre of music to normal.

And if that doesn't work 'Add a dab of lavender to milk. Leave town with an orange, and pretend you're laughing at it.' Manny Bianco (Blackbooks)

Hope this helps

Motivation for what? Motivation is about wanting something and being willing to do what it takes to accomplish it. Try some things, take some classes, join some clubs, volunteer for something. One of these days you'll find something you care enough about to get excited. Then go for it.

try imaging that tomorrow does not exist only today,
"Tomorrow does not exist. It is only today that is a reality. If we dream of having success and happiness, we must do today that which makes such happiness"

i have this quote in front of me on my desk at work

Also, write things down that you want to achieve, then tick them off as you go. after a while you will be motivated to do the next thing on the list.

"inspiration is where you find it"
i've had the same delema, and to get over it i pushed myself and stayed away from anything that pulls you down. also i'd look at anything that inspires you, or if you don't have anything, let your goals make you keep going. your motivation will come soon, don't worry :)
