"Friendly Horseshoe"
I have had several ideas for a business name, but for one reason or another decided that it wouldn't work. Today I came up with "Friendly Horseshoe". I would like to know what kind of business you think of when you hear it. For my business I plan on making candles and some other homemade items.
For a logo I was thinking about a horseshoe with a yellow rose inside it.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

ok because of some of the answers already left I feel like I should add a few more details.
1. The name of the town I live and would be conducting business is Friendswood.
2. The mascot for the school is the mustang (a horse)
3. I don't want the name to specifically reference candles because I plan on adding different items later on.
4. I would also consider adding something to the end of "Friendly Horseshoe" such as Specialties or Gifts or something like that.
Any other ideas or suggestions??
Thanks in advance for the help!

ok guess I still need to add more details.
I live in Southern Texas. The population of the city I live is about 25,000-30,000. I will be working from home and selling my items at arts & craft shows for now, and maybe set up a website to sell my items too. Later on, I hope to move to the Texas Hill Country and continue my business there. So that's why I don't want to include my location in my business name. Does that help anymore?

I'm not really all about this name, either. It is homey, but makes me think of where I need to take my horse. I get the idea you are looking for something "home made" for your name. You are on the right track with that. But it needs to go with what you are dealing. Friendly makes it a good feel place to go, but it is overdone.
Where do you live, though? Your location and demographics are going to make all the difference. If you live in the south, more rural area, a name like "Never knew you didn't make it yourself" might work. But if you live in a more suburban area, that name would probably never take off.
Care to let us know more about your area? I'd love to help.
Edit: Ahhh! Now I get it with your additional comments! That helps a lot. And I also get why you chose the name you did. Now, consider this: who is your target audience? If your audience is the older, more dedicated towns person, then you might be on track with the name you have chosen. If you would like to draw the younger crowd AND the aforementioned folks, make your name more in the middle. Like the person before me (nice recommendation, by the way!), creations by.... and your name if you make all them personally. Nice idea.
Hope I haven't rambled on too much! Best of luck to you in your new venture!
Edit2: I really think the idea of naming it what you are suggesting would be wrong, then... if you are taking it on the road. I'm guessing most of your patrons will be from the south, but not everyone in the south loves texas like they do their own home state. I like it a lot, but as you know, southerners are partial to their state (I am southern, fyi, from Arkansas). Keep that in mind when you make reference to horses, your hometown's name or even the state flower (is the yellow rose the flower? I just remember the song.....ahhh)

How about something like,
"Horsecrafts" and then underneath it, "Candles and Gifts"
Or you could try "Woodcraft", with "candles and gifts" underneath it and incorporate a horseshoe in the logo.
Or a variation of these, perhaps. By putting "craft" in the name, you're implying "home-made" and "hand-crafted" without having to actually say it.
When I read "Friendly Horseshoe" I think of a ranch, especially after reading you're located in TX.

I agree. It doesn't tell people what your business is about. You need to have something to do with candles, homemade, or crafts in the title. Then people will know what the business is.
If it is just your creations, then use your name and 'creations.' You could also just use creations.
Hope this helps...

Too confusing. I hear the name and i just don't get it.
Company names usually will tell a consumer one of two things:
1: what you do/ specialty
2: where you are located
Sometimes it will state both...
ex: Barrett Chiropractic. someone in the north metro atlanta area would know that this is a chiropractor located on barrett parkway.

I wanted to answer truthifully . I really don't like it. This is why it doesn't stand out in my mind. It's not a name I would remember and go oh yeah I love that place..I think It would be more like what happened to them. you need something with pop.
Although it's really up to you and how u feel about it. I can't come up with anything better. sorry for the negativity
