Well, heres the problem. It takes the majority (218 members) of the 435 member house to impeach the president. If all the democrats line up and vote that way, theres no problem there. However, in the Senate, to convict (meaning validating the impeachment) you need 67 members. Even if all 51 members who caucus with the majority vote for impeachment, you're still short 16 Republicans. Thats why Clinton did not get impeached and is why Bush wont either. The bar has not been raised like the previous post suggests; it hasnt been raised or lowered since the constitution was implemented.

Never! We invaded Afghanistan. To get Bin Laden, we would have to invade Pakistan. That won't happen.

In order to be impeached, a president needs to be charged with an impeachable offense. Mr. Bush has not been charged with anything.

Good question. George W. Bush lied to Congress and the American people. However, not only are there not enough Democrats to impeach him, but if they did, then Dick Cheney would become President. He is the one who is actually running the show. It would be no improvement.

Because Bush and Osama are friends. Why do you think he sent billions of dollars on an airplane?????? That no one knows where any of it went??? It's simple they want control of Iraq's resources which our soldiers are dying everyday and for what???? That idiot will NEVER be brought up on impeachment charges because he paid everyone off!! Including the Democrats!! Why do you think they're not fighting hard to bring our troops home? It doesn't take a rocket scientist!!!

President Clinton lied below oath to a grand jury. it somewhat is perjury. the rule of thumb of regulation applies to anybody the two. no rely in case you are the President of u.s. or an accused ax murderer, each is sworn to tell the reality, the full certainty in a court of regulation. quite of pursuing this rely in a court of regulation, the government (particular counsel, congress, and so on) chosen to pursue impeachment lawsuits against President Clinton. Sooter Libby lied below oath to a grand jury. the government (particular Council Fitzgerald) chosen to pursue this rely in a court of regulation. Scooter Libby exchange into tried via a jury of his friends in a federal court, discovered responsible, exchange into convicted and sent to reformatory. it somewhat is the way justice in u.s. is meant to paintings. President Bush has informed many lies, 0.5 truths, and different deceptive statements, yet he has no longer been below oath or devoted perjury. even whilst he exchange into forced to finally talk to the 9-11 fee, he purely agreed to accomplish that below oath and with Dick Cheney latest so they might coordinate their lies mutually.

You are making the claim that the President's expansion of the war on terror with the consent of Congress is an impeachable offense? I think you should go to wherever you got your education and complain about the quality of it.
