If they say TV's so bad for you then why do they have one in every hospital room?

it's a hospital...do you actually think they want you to get better???? it's so you get no rest and have to stay longer!

To distract you from all the beeping of machinery...and irritate the hell out of the person you're sharing a room with ;) Plus it's super boring to lay in a hospital bed all day and with the IV and other stuff hooked up to you, you can't go anywhere, if they didn't give you something to keep you busy then you'd probably go nuts and have at the hospital staff, hehehe

Because its not. When you're in the hospital it gets so freaking boring that TV is the only escape. Plus if they didn't have TV's patients would be harrassing the living hell out of the nurses and no one wants that.

For the same reason that they serve that inedible garbage they call "food".
A hospital is really a big business. If it's to stay in the game and make a profit, then it has to make sure that there is a constant supply of sick people. (You know, like the saying "a chicken in every pot"..."a sick person in every bed".)

to keep the patient's and their visitors occupied . they are probably talking about too much tv . as we all know too much of anything isn't healthy ......... moderation is what works best
