I would bet on it. Melo is second and he will not win it with A.I. on his team( not that that is a bad thing, I actually like the two together and it will be better when they gain chemistry). Gilbert wont because honestly Kobe is the best scorer ever in the NBA statisically besides Wilt Chamberlin. Therefore I think that you must count Kobe in every year for the scoring title. Another fact just to think about. Kobe was only averaging 24.8 PPG until mid Jan, 2007. Now he is at 30.8, i think you can rest assure that he will get the title. For all you Kobe haters that want to call him a ball hogg just remember that his field goal percentage is better than Ray Allen, so if you are going to call Bryant a ball hogg, be sure to do the same for Ray Allen

He'll win. He's guaranteed himself the title with his recent scoring run. Especially this late in the season, there's no one who can catch up unless they start torching teams for 50 every night or kobe all of a sudden decides not to shoot anymore for the remaining games.

I think so. Not only are his major competitors in small slumps, their teams also don't need them as much. Anthony and Iverson are playing together, so they can't both average 30. Arenas has been reunited with Jamison, and more recently Butler. I think that Kobe already had a stranglehold on the title, and this last week allowed him to put it out of reach.

Does it really matter? The Lakers aren't going anywhere in the playoffs and won't get a draft pick to help their team get better next year. So Kobe will have to be the same ball-hogging player he is now in order for the Lakers to be even a .550 team like they are now.

yes, i mean 4 strait 50 pt games, and a 43 pt game after that. Melo isn't scoring as mush with a.i. so yes he will.

Does it matter? His time is just above .500

The NBA Scoring race has rarely ever meant anything.
