Never.
When I professionally headhunted, we only verified college degrees, never, ever ever high school diplomas.
I have never known a company to verify a HS diploma from someone who is nearly 50 years old.
Good luck

As a creative professional, I've always been advised to leave my H.S. education off my resume, even though I had a 4.0 GPA.
I was told by one of the largest creative recruiting companies in the world that most HR departments could care less. They want to see that work history. And above that, it sometimes just comes down to who you know when there's literally a 5 foot pile of resumes on HR's desk. Guess where that's going?
Some of the richest men in the world (pre boomer) barely finished grade school.

A really large company might. But I've only ever verified degrees, never a diploma.

after 30 years, I highly highly doubt it. After that amount of time, its your work experience that they care about.
