I go through this on a regular basis with my ex. Check with your Child Support Office Representative...usually as soon as they receive the money it is forwarded to you. And keep on them. Most state run agencies have tons of cases that they have to deal with, so you do, unfortunately become a number. They are not for profit, ie, they don't make any more money or less money regardless of whether or not your get yours...so they tend to put little effort into it....but, if you keep after them, they're forced to take notice..ie you're no longer just a number...so they do what they can to help you. If your ex owes you back support, the state's Child Support Office should have already stepped in, in some form or another, varies from state to state...if the income tax refund has been garnished, it should only be a matter of time...again, just give that office a call and they should be able to get you an answer.

It could take months to get it, if you are in good standings with him he should file married but file separate. Filing jointly they will take out what she gets as well.
