I was born in Chicago on the NW side and have always HATED the Cubs...even growing up it was always 'wait till next year'...what is it 100 years since they won anything? Well, I got tired of waiting and went with the Brewers in the NL.

Watch it I like the cubs but they did suck, not anymore though. Not great but better.

Yes I think they still suck,I just don't see any change anytime soon.Even with the GM we have now,he starting to act like the other GM that left. I want the GM that Oakland has ,He seems to know what he is doing.Right!!! Yes I am a Cub fan till I die.

The Chicago Cubs do not Suck because they are going to win the World Series in 2007 and their first World Series in 99 Years.

the cubs have spent more then 300 million in the span of several months to obtain 2 average picthers(Jason Marquis, Ted Lilly) and some big offensive players(which I must admit are pretty good) but without pitching they will be in the same place as they were last year... with the pirates pitching the way it is right now, they have a better chance to win that division... so YES, no offense to them but they suck

you need to go to a cubs game and sit in the sun on a 98 degree day with the humidity at 90 percent and watch 9 innings as the cubs win,you would change your tune

The cubs are like royals/pirates/phillies...small crappy teams that aren't willing to invest money into their teams in order to win..
The play with the theory that they don't have to spend big bucks..that somehow magically they will grow these superstars from their farm system...without every really investing money in said farm system..
Then they proceed to field crappy teams..and if attendance falls short..the owner either asks for a new stadium or theathens to move the team..
Baseball in general is a scam..
So If I root for a team..it probably would be the cubs..hell if they won the freaking world series, it would be the best thing that every happened to baseball..
