Was in my crib - half asleep - someone came into the room and turned on the overhead light which flashed and popped cause it burned out just then. I was, however old you are in a crib, probably under 1, and was so terrified that I couldn't change a light bulb without putting a shield over my face until I was 50 in case it would do that again.

Was riding the subway in Chicago on my way home from an afternoon at the Art Institute and my purse was snatched. I don't know why I did it (maybe because my apartment keys and my identification with my address on it were inside), but I chased the guys. They couldn't believe it! They kept turning around to see if I was still running and yes,I was doing a darn good job of keeping up! At one point, it dawned on me that they might have a gun or a knife, but then I figured that if they did, they wouldn't be running from me. They'd have used it on me by that time, so I kept running. I chased them off the train, through the station, out onto the street, around corners, over curbs and right into one of the worst housing projects in the nation. Everything stopped when I ran into the courtyard. Hundreds of pairs of eyes just stared at me like lunch had wandered into the courtyard. I fully expected to be raped or shot or something. I was never so scared. I was in a totally foreign area to me with no money to get home and no way to let anyone know where I was. My instinct was to turn and run like heck out of there, but something told me that the worst thing I could do would be to show fear, so I forced myself to turn around and WALK out of there. I fully expected to feel a bullet in my back, but it never happened. It was so quiet that I could hear my blood pounding. Back on the street, I quickly waved down a passing squad car. Turns out the police were looking for me! They'd seen the whole chase and saw me run into the housing project. They let me know how lucky I was to get out of there. They asked me some questions about my purse and dissuaded me from making a report because I really couldn't identify the people. Then they gave me a couple of bucks, took me to the subway station and made sure I got on the next train okay.

I was at walmart with my daughter and I was picking out an outfit for her and next thing I knew she was gone...I was so scared I started screaming at the top of my lungs I had all the staff and even other customers helping me look for her.I ended up finding her asleep under one of the clothing racks.I have never let her out of the cart since and she's 6 now.

well I was mowing our Grass like I do all the time and I went up to our fence with the front of the mower and before I could get it in reverse the mower climbed the fence and fell on me,I screamed but no one heard me because the muffler was off I had hot oil spraying all over me and I got enough strength to push the mower off top of me I was covered head to toe in Hot oil. I had burn on my face and arms and legs because I had shorts on.

once i was skateboarding and bit it and passed out for a couple minutes seconds hell i duno. that was scary. and also i had my fingers on front of the car just mere probably millimeters from where the hood would fall and close. and it did fall and close. my friend was like somebody up there must like you meaning of course i was lucky . that hood would of messed up my fingers real bad that time.
oh yea and this one time i was abducted by aliens and they took me up to their ship and was going to anal probe me when i got my fiercest temper on and started to fight them they shot me out into space and i started to fall. and a nice group of aliens came and took me and they both started to have a lazer fight. and it so happened the same thing happened to the texas chainsaw massacre guy. i guess he didn't think he could hurt the aliens so he started chasing me with his chainsaw and he ripped my shirt and i started to gouge out his eyeballs and banging his head onto the inside of the spaceship. it was such a gruesome sight i started to puke all over the place so i had the texas chainsaw massacre guys head on my fingers while i was projectile vomiting and the spacecrafts where sitting there having a mini star wars going on but i think i came out ok cause i just so happened to pick a four leaf clover earlier that day either that or i'm just arambling bulshitter with nothing else to talk about but nonsense. yea i think it's the second one

My little boy jumping in the deep end of a friend's pool. Neither he nor I could swim at the time. No one else was around. All I remember is jumping in and walking out with him. It was a small inground pool but it is still a mystery to me how I was able to rescue him. There is a blank in my mind between jumping in at the shallow end and walking back out with him. Thanks for the question. It's always good to remember to be thankful for our blessings.

wow to all the other stories..mine is not as bad. I was in the grocery store with my son (11 yr) and the guy in front of me in line robbed the store....did not see a gun but it was very scary


on a separate occasion I was threatened by someone with a knife...

i did fall off a cliff..except it was small..and if my friends weren't there..i could have hit my head on the rocks beneath and died. it would take to long to tell the full story.
