I've notice that too and I am from the NYC-Philadelphia axis having lived directly in both cities. When I moved out west I found that the most prejudice and unfriendly people were from Boston. I've never been to Boston, however.

theres a town or place in every country that has to be ruder louder dumber and better than everywhere else! im having that problem right now! drive two hours in the wrong direction and its a complete culture shock! we are formed by our environment.. my advise.. avoid at all costs!
