How can I become a mentor for young girls who need guidance?

Join Big Brother's Big Sister's. I had a big Sister when I was younger, and she really helped me with alot of home issues I was having. She even helped me raise my grades and now I am responsible enought to keep my grades up with out being begged to do my work (3.97 GPA) YOu can visit your little sis as often as you two decide, and take her out. The program even has little get togethers for all the Big Brothers and Sisters once a month. Honestly, you can really change someone's life by just being there and encouraging them to be their very best.

look into volunteering, especially in after school programs, or Churches usually have some kind of youth programs and are always in need of help, Depending on how much emotional heartache your willing to take on maybe look into volunteering at a crises center for girls, or juvenile detentions. Get in contact with your state and local government agencies to find out if you need to be registered with them in order to do the help that you wish. Remember your dealing with young ladies / children and there's a lot of red tape sometimes to be able to offer a helping hand
Also contact Volunteers Of America, or your local Red Cross, and churches and ask them where they might need you and what you have to do to do it.
