certainly. you'll work hard your first year but there's plenty of free time except close to finals. i generally went out three nights a week my first year. second and third years i got lazy as to going out because i was bored of the scene and had a significant other, but i had even more free time. i made my way through the entire series of the sopranos, six feet under, lost and nip/tuck. exciting.
it all depends, though, on where you go to law school, how hard you personally plan to work, and what classes you take. it varies widely based on your professor. i spent more hours studying civ pro my first year than all other classes combined, because i was so scared of getting called on. in others, you can just coast.
don't worry about the social life. you will be totally fine.

I have the same problem, except I'm not studying law. I have adopted a "work now play later" philosophy. Then again we are both playing around on yahoo answers instead of talking to people we know. So go call a friend.

Depends on what you want after law school.
You want the big job that leads to partner in the firm?
Or the small town legal aid cases where you'll make less than the kid flipping burgers at McD.
Guess which is which.

It's tough. Law school is very hard. I'm in my 3rd year and I hardly ever see my friends. I can't wait for finals so I can spend a weekend with my folks!
