Flash Fiction is fiction of 500 words and under. I've about 80 of such pieces by now, most of them overly descriptive, sometimes violent, and usually written as to give the reader some food for thought.

Here's a pair of examples so you can better see what I'm talking about, pieces I wrote in 2005 and 2006 respectively (these two have more FEELING than STORY, but I think it should give you the general impression of what I'm going for): http://intuitive-ds.com/personal/FlashFiction.html

This is a great idea and very popular right now. In my research for markets for my own short stories (not flash fiction) I have discovered there is a great demand for flash fiction. And you've compiled a nice amount of writing, too. I say go for it - there are editors and agents who are very interested, you just have to do your research and find them, query them.

Best of luck.

That is a very interesting idea. I have done flash fiction competetions of 100 word stories too. I will read the two you posted - sounds interesting. A book of stories like James Patterson chapters, Pax -C.

I read them and they were great. I see a little bit of cyberpunk influence in there? I what a wonderful book it would make. A modern version of 1001 Arabian Nights - a story for every night. Go for it!!!!! C.

I think it's a great idea. I had to read a book of flash fiction for a class and I loved it.

You don't write flash fiction. You write poetry.

So, if you want to publish a book of poetry, yes you can. But first, you need to publish some of the pieces by themselves. Try the "The New American Writer" (the most prestigious monthly publication for poets), webzines or poetry contests.
