In body language 101..a person that sits with their legs crossed, and /or arms crossed, or hand up to mouth is a closed in person.
I sit like a lady also but I don't cross my legs or arms or put my hand up to my mouth...I am open and ready to talk about whatever you wish to talk about.
*When wearing a dress a lady may just put her legs togehter and pull them over to one side*
I am not downing anyone...just an observation. ♥

I slowly lower myself into a chair, let out a large groan half way down and then plop into a chair.
Once I get comfortable I start out with my legs stretched out and ankles crossed.

I sit on my butt, legs sometimes crossed at the ankle but more likely akimbo (love that word...akimbo. Sounds like it should be a character in "The Lion King").

LOL...if I'm in class, usually I cross my legs. When they start hurting, just uncross 'em.
