Technologically, the standard iPod (or "Video") is obviously superior. In addition to at least 22 more gigabytes of storage capacity, it has a bigger, brighter display, more features, and of course, video capability. However, the iPod nano is naturally much smaller in size, and therefore more portable, so which one is better really depends on the user. If you're more of a music person, and you don't need all that space, the Nano is probably a better option. On the other hand, for those who want to store an entire media library in their pocket, the Video is the way to go. Good luck. (But let me make a suggestion: if you choose the latter, wait several months for the sixth-generation. It'll be far more advanced, and you'll probably pay the same amount of money.)

iPod video has more features and can hold more stuff. Nano is more portable. It depends on your budget, and where you're going to use it. If you want to go running or exercise with your music, then you'd want the smaller Nano. If you want to store lots of music, photos, videos, etc., then go for the bigger (and more expensive) iPod Video. Both are good quality machines.

You will HATE the nano's screen. It is like a postage stamp. You would need to squint. And for me it is waaay too small cos i have big hands.

As a video ipod owner, the screen is large and the ipod is not that heavy.

Go with the video.
