Highlight the text you wish to "copy". Hit Ctrl+C. Go to where you want the text pasted and hit Ctrl+V.
You can also highlight and right click your mouse and hit Copy and likewise with paste.

Highlight (click and drag) what you want to put into another document. When it is highlighted, scroll down to "copy" and click there. (On the menu at the top) In new document click where you want the words to appear (or graphics) and click on "paste."
