The truth, now. Would you shun them? Would you support them and keep loving them as much as you did before? Would you distance yourself a bit?..... My unlce is gay, I love him just as much as before I knew he was, it really hurts me to know that his own sister distanced herself from him. So yeah, what would you do? (Don't yell at me saying I'm wrong and against gays for even asking the question, ok? = ) plz?)

I suspect an uncle is gay and when I tol dmy mom she said he had confessed to her some feelings but was "fighting them" I felt really sorry for my uncle, sadly, my mom praised him for fighting them. I have a cousin who is gay and it doesn't bother me. It's non of anyone's buss and I know some other cousins have a prob with him.
They're idiots.

However, if my daughter or son said that, I think I'd have a harder time dealing with it. Cos I know they would suffer, have struggles more-so than most of us and face more challenges....

Of course not! I'd throw them a "Welcome the the Family" party!

Honey, I'm gay, it would be really hypocritical of my to shun another family member for coming out as gay as well.
My family has been wonderfully supportive, loving and caring. They all adore my partner and welcome her just as they have any of my cousins spouses or my brother's wife.
I have one cousin out of eight who is also gay, granted he's not really related to me since both my father and his sister were adopted, but we're both welcomed in our families.

It's awesome that you accept and love your Uncle!! You're right, he hasn't changed at all, he's still the great Uncle you've always known and loved, now you just know more about him!

Stone them. Just kidding (not funny, I know). I wouldn't care and I would treat and love them the same way I did before I knew their orientation. It would be very strange if I didn't treat them this way being gay myself :)

I love them no less, because imagine yourself in their position. You would want love too. so show him all the love in the world to replace the love he lost for being truthful to everyone.

I would support them and do whatever I could to ensure that they know they are loved, and to help them in any way I could.
