Yes. I was hypnotized at a show where there were 20 volunteers sitting in a row of chairs lined across the stage.
The first year I went, I just watched and thought it was hilarious. I couldn't believe the things that these people were doing! That made me want to volunteer for the next show. So I did and the hypnotist chose me. I remember sitting in the audience waiting to be picked and the next thing I remember was sitting in that chair on stage, under a large spotlight and barely able to see the audience because the light was so bright. But yeah, I'll share my little experience with you...you can compare it with your own experience...
So Jimi Gibson (the hypnotist) played this music that is kinda mysterious; it gets into your subconscious or something. So he was talking in this really deep, relaxing voice, telling us to "just let it go," to "breathe in...and out...," and to "just let it go...doubling our current state of relaxation." So after like two seconds (really, about 15) of him talking my eyes already felt heavy! That was weird. My legs and arms didn't tingle much, but my hands definitely felt heavier, like I would never want to move them. Then he gave us the sleep command and we all layed all over each other, not caring at all, and I just wanted to leave my eyes closed the whole time. The first thing he did to us...oh, I remember...is make it so we couldn't open our eyes. He told us that he wanted to prove to us we were hypnotized, and I was thinking, "Psshh...no I'm not," but then I was so amazed I couldn't open my eyes! Let's see...the rest is hard to remember. We lip-synced, did the Irish jig, um, gosh, oh I forgot my last name at one point. Like, he asked me and I just couldn't say anything. My mind totally went blank then and there, even though I had been thinking of my name literally two seconds before. Uh gosh yeah that's all I remember from during the hypnosis. Oh, and I was quite comfortable up there. Even in front of all those people.
After the show I was yawning SO much, but I couldn't fall asleep that night. I had supposedly gotten the equivalent of 16 hours of sleep during the two hours of hypnosis. Jimi said before the show that one hour of hypnosis is like eight hours of sleep.
But yeah, it was such a fun experience and I'm glad to share it with you. I bet some of the stuff here is similar to what happened to you! =D

It never happened to me but my friend was hypnotised and went to a post office and demanded a license for a garden gnome.
