its called skepticism or solipsism. but they both are basicaly stating the whole matrix thing.
but people say that you can never truly know that your life is real. and that there is no true evidence. however there are many philosophies and books that show that external world scepticism such as the matrix idea is actualy a self defeating and self refuting idea. example of arguments are things like the private language argument and stuff like that. there is even a book about the matrix and matrix philosophy that show that its self refuting. and if the matrix theory is wrong then so is solipsism ans skepticism.
so with this in mind showing that these concepts are not only highly unlikely, but also self refuting how can it be said that we can never truly know? is it because we can never experiece what other people are and you can only be you? why is it deemed as something humans can never truly know?
