Remove the carbs from the engine and disassemble. Remove all rubber/plastic parts and soak in a good carb/parts cleaner. Blow all parts dry with compressed air. Make sure that all passages are clean. Purchase repair/rebuild kits and reassemble per the instructions.

It depends. Do you plan to remove the carbs from the manifold or not?


The easiest solution, assuming the Merc runs, is adding "Power Tune" to the fuel and running it up. Merc Power Tune will clean those jets and passages to a clean gleam!

get the book on your engine alot of small details you neeed to know when rebuiling the carbs, they are not hard to do but you should get a book and follow every step
