Dish towels are a recipe for disaster.Pun intended.
Most oven mitts are even too wimpy for a hot-azz casserole.
Alton Brown reccommends welding gloves.
Seriously....check out his cookbook.

i own many oven mitts. I don't like using a dish towel because you do get burnt that way & mess up your towels too!

Hmmm....well, i use dish towels. They are always closer. My oven mitts are in the drawer, and i am just kinda lazy!!! I never seem to burn myself though! ha!

Yeah, I have oven mitts, however, I don't use them. I prefer a towel. There's always one hanging from my shoulder while I cook.
