I was wondering why my mom hates Howie Mandel so much? I think he is doing great things on Deal or No Deal, but my mom says that everything he does on there is for his own pesonal gain. I don't think ALL of it is for himself. I loved last weeks episode. Did he do something in his past to make a lot of people dislike him??

I don't think so. From what I know of his past he is pretty like able. He has stayed married for a very long time. He is a noted comedian. He has done a lot of TV and movies. And I think he is great on Deal or No Deal too lol! He does have OCD and is a germ-phobic but from what I have seen he is super nice about it and still finds way to have contact with people... including strangers. I am interested to see what seeds from his past other answerer's can give you!

For personal gain?
Does your mother work? Isn't that for "her" personal gain? Everything people do is for their personal gain.....be it emotional, financial, spiritual etc. Your mother must have some other resentment towards Howie. Maybe she was watching his old talk show one day and got offended...or maybe she is the type that is jealous of successful people. Who knows....but Howie is a funny guy....and anyone that can make me laugh is ok in my books. (Oh...and he's Canadian....maybe your mom hates Canadians...lol)

My mom doesnt like him either she says that after he shaved his head he acts real phony and she said he was much better when he was younger. Also she said that he was much better looking, but I like him on Deal or No Deal anyway.

He made the movie "Walk like a Man" that could be why your mom hates him, because it was terrible. Maybe she hates him because he played Fiscus on St. Elsewhere.
