Has anyone gone through DIS?

Did you like it? Was it worth it? What are the pros and cons of the DIS program? (denmark international study abroad program)

i went through DIS in 2001 for 1 semester - I loved it - Copenhagen is a GREAT city. The reason I chose this program was because it was an English speaking program somewhere other than UK or Australia, where EVERYONE goes, and I wanted to have a different experience.

I was in the business program and I enjoyed the trips that we did, I learned a lot, I loved where I lived (dorm - Gronjordskollegiet), all the teachers were great, there were lots of pros...

In my opinion, the downsides of the program are that I felt it was a little too work intensive, most study abroad programs are kind of a joke academically, but this one was actually fairly intense. Additionally, a HUGE percent of the students attending were from UVA, and I think there could have been a better mix of students from different schools.

But overall, I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
