No one should be above the law or above accountability for their actions and bad decisions that cause harm. This president has done great harm to many people but most of all to the Americans. He has made them into a hated nation. The law should be blind and impartial, not based on prestige or position. This man is a disgrace.

Let's see here...
1) Arlen Specter supports returning habeus corpus to the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
2) Last time I checked, the 5th Ammendment applies to ALL citizens, including appointed and elected officials.
3) I don't have a third point. Everything else is all Constitutional Law (Created by Congress, made fact by the President, and interpreted by the Supreme Court.), Civil Law, and/or Hearsay.
You need to provide some more information, please. Then I might understand the full gist of your question/rant.

I am glad Bush is using the power of the Presidency to thwart the silly democrats. Unlike his father, who went along with the democrat's raising income taxes.

Notice how Bush squeaks about freedom, but NOT liberty ?
Why are the Democrats so concerned about habeas corpus?
Why are ethe Democrats so concerned about the Constitution? Thankfully Bush and his neocons have set us straight.

rukiddin sputtered;
>>>Why do you people get annoyed when Bush invokes his constitutional privileges? Isn't that what you people complain about--that he isn't following the Constitution?<<<
Doing away with habeas corpus isn't following the constitution!
Refusal to testify under oath in front of the Congress is allowed under the fifth amendment,,,If you have a lot of bodies in the closet.
At least Nixon had the balls to resign!

I have come to the conclusion, based on personal observation, that it isn't only Bush and company, but that the reality in this country is that there are two legal systems - one for the rich and one for the rest of us.

I'm not but a lot of Republicans are happy to do what Bush tells them to do. They are lost without their beloved leader.

No, seems like making himself unable to be prosecuted,
was his first step in his plan for a dictatorship.
He went too far & I'm seeing where even Republicans have
enough of bullyness.
He's made his place in history, after '08, he'll have to
live with it.
