im not that much into football and have tpo know how many teams there r for a report due tommarrow! please help!!!!!!

There are 32 teams split into two conferences: The AFC (American Football Conference) and the NFC (National Football Conference). Within each conference there are 4 divisions of 4 teams each. Each conference has the 4 divisions of South, West, East, and North.

Here are all the teams in the AFC:
East: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets
North: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers
South: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans
West: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders

NFC:

19 teams in the Arena Football league, the other major football league in the US. Its minor league, AF2, has 30 teams.

There are 117 teams in the top division of college football, and many hundreds of others in divisions below that.
