you kids step back and let dad answer this question....the best of all time is lew alcindor...but i would have to put pete maravich,magic johnson,shaq,and akeem olajuwon,patrick ewing,and many others in that list.

Well, since I can remember, and im only 16, I would say that the one guy that stands out the most would be Kevin Durant. He can score effortlessly and whenever he wants to, and puts up 30 points with ease against any team in the country.

As much as I hate Duke and this player did suck it up in the NBA, Christian Laettner. Most known for his buzzer beater vs. Kentucky. averaged 17 points (not great compared to Durant etc.) BUT he has two National Titles back to back (thats what really counts). This is coming from a guy who hates Duke!!!! North Carolina all the way.

Recently Carmelo Anthony. He was a dominat force offensively. He averaged 22.1 points (16th in the nation, 4th in the Big East) and 10.0 rebounds (19th in the NCAA, 3rd in Big East), in leading Syracuse to their first ever NCAA tournament title in 2003.

If you are talking the last ten years, it would have to be Emeka Okafor of Connecticut who played from 2002 to 2004. UConn was nearly unstoppable when they recruited some big guys to help him.

Id say jj redick from duke cuz he carried his team and whenever he got the ball outside the 3point line hed swish it

melo, because he was a freshman, and he still averaged a double double, and lead Syracuse to a national championship.
