People say "expect the unexpected" alot. But wouldn't that make it expected, not unexpected? It doesn't make sense to me. Why do people say that?

because some people only expect the expected. if the unexpected is expected then it wasn't unexcepected because it was expected. bet you didnt expect that!

Your mind became unexpectedly inquisitive if you ask what is uncommonly expected.
