After recently being rejected by a guy I found myself watching one of my favourite movies from my teenage years 'the craft' in which a group of girls become witches with seemingly limitless powers. They take care of the people at school who treat them like crap both male and female! This was a total escapist movie for me when i was younger, a fantasy of empowerment and revenge. What were some of your escapist movies???

I always fall back on the original version of The Goodbye Girl with Richard Dreyfus and Marsha Mason.....I've always found it very comforting and endearing.

Most good movies are escapist. The first three Star Wars movies come immediately to mind. For nearly three hours, you can go someplace totally different from "real life".

If you want to see an awesome movie solely based on revenge watch the count of monte cristo.....amazing movie! I will say no more cuz i don't want to ruin it
