I doubt it...Salmonella is a form of food poisoning....by the time the bacteria that you ate that made you SO SICK goes through your system and eventually through the milk ducts....i would say it has been filtered out completely...as for FEELING like breastfeeding while you struggle through salmonella...now thats another matter.....call a local La Leche League rep if your unsure....plus food poisoning should only be acute for about 24 - 36 hours...try to sleep as much as humanly possible, and try and keep down some liquids! ABSOLUTLY, anything going into your body WILL go into your baby. If you eat onions or garlic than your baby will taste it and be turned off by your milk. This is a crutial time for you to watch what you eat and drink. if you think you have anything consult your doctor and babys pediatrition.

i got food poisoning last week after i ate out, im breastfeeding and my bub didnt catch it, just b hygenic, they usually dont get gastro if they r breastfed, good luck
