I met Chuck Yeager and his wing man and best friend, Clarence "Bud" Anderson, in 1985 when the Kanawha Airport was renamed in his honor in Charleston, WV. After the dedication ceremony, I pushed my way onto the stage without even thinking because they were such heroes of mine and I wanted to meet them. Several G-Men grabbed me and some had their hands on their guns. I hadn't realized what a precarious position I put us all in.

Bud Anderson actually saved the day, saying "Fellas, this lady isn't going to hurt anyone," and came over to shake my hand. Yeager then followed suit and they both signed my book, "The Right Stuff." I was in a cloud of happiness the rest of the day. (Though it wasn't easy to stay afloat since my then-hubby, himself a G-Man, harangued me for hours for doing such a stupid thing.)

I met Candlebox last year after their concert, C.J. from Drowning Pool at Ozzfest a few years ago and Lisa from the Toadies years and years ago before they hit it big. She was my cashier one time at Sound Warehouse. Those are the biggest celebrities that I have ever met.
