Bill O'Reilly wants his audience to have the truth. Don't you dare put him down... He is fair & he is very protective of the truth--even when it is his good friend Lis.
He thought that Lis Wiehl was telling the audience that there should be an open hearing & that no one would know what would be said. Bill O'Reilly knows that this would not be true...everyone would hear about any open hearings.
What Lis Whiel really said, though, was misunderstood. She said Wiehl read: "Such interviews would be private and conducted without the need for an oath, a transcript, subsequent testimony." O'Reilly apparently misheard Wiehl -- replacing "oath" with "open" -- and went on to state: "Open transcript means it gets to The New York Times. There is a transcript to the senators who, if they lie, can charge them with crimes. You know it, and you misled my audience, who comes here for the truth."
Bill O'Reilly must have meant by "what can we do to her" as ...how can we make sure she tells the audience the truth?

I love the way he states he "misheard" her. He's so ready to jump the gun on anyone who disagrees with him or the President that he can't even think clearly.
