ogon is a color classification of small scale koi
ogon only come in two color, gold and white
there should be no black, red, blue at all on an ogon fish

that would make it an shiro or a sake
anyway, the only thing that makes them expensive is the care that goes into breeding pure coloured fish with good comformation

I agree, probably Ogan Koi and it wouldn't surprise me if Petsmart got it wrong or even their supplier. Ogon or gin matsuba Koi are smller than "normal" koi but still not small enough for anything less than the largest of aquariums.

Different types of Koi are rarer to find. Therefore the price will increase.

I think you mean an Ogon.
