How much in tolls from Seattle to NYC?

This August I'll be taking my VW Golf to move from WA to New York and I've heard that it's all tolls from Wisconsin to NY, but I can't figure out how much the tolls will total. We'll be taking I-90 and probably I-94 from Billings to Chicago. Has anyone made this trip recently and remember approximately how much it cost?

Only from where I've traveled, I know that WI and MN does not have tolls, but as soon as you hit IL you will encounter some. Tolls can range in price and or depending if they were off ramps or entering into a city. Prices range from .50 to $2.00. I suggest you take about $60 worth in quarters. You can used these quarters for tolls and "POP" aka soda at vending machines at rest stops. Remember, quarters is still money, take as much as you can. Take lots of food and buy only at local Grocery stores and not gas stations. Gas station food is overpriced. Shop at walmarts if possible. Try to buy gas away from exit ramps gas stations ( they are always overpriced). IL has tons of tolls when you get in till you you get out.

I80/I90 in Ohio and Indiana has tolls

I80 New Jersey has Tolls

The western states still have no tolls. Other than the NY thruway, the Ohio & Indiana toll roads and a small portion of Illinois in the Chicago area, there are no other tolls. I would place the estimate for actual tolls at $23. Good luck!

last year I went on a road trip to Maine to see my family and I took the same route as your talking about if you stick to I-90 after Chicago than there wont be any tolls till you get about 25 miles from downtown new york city

I drove NY to Seattle two years ago. I don't recall a lot of tolls. Maybe $50 or so.
