People sure do get all knotted up over celebrities. Who cares what Sean Penn thinks or says? He's just a celebrity, i.e., another person, albeit one with a fat paycheck, but that doesn't make him better or worse than any other human being.

That is simply not true. It is patriotic to acknowledge problems and try to fix them. Right now there are a lot of problems ot acknowledge. Penn and I, and lots of patriotic AMericans, are both really really angry at a president who lied to get us into a war that will only serve to make his rich friends richer, but got 3000 Americans and 600,000 Irqis killed, and took about 4000 out of the pockets of every man woman and child in this country in the form of war spending. THis is a president who has taken away our most basic rights (Habeus Corpus, the right to privacy), has condoned torture, and made enemies of most of the rest of the world. He has made the USA weaker and more vulnerable than ever to attack.
Sean Penn is saying what many many people think. You have every right to disagree with him, but he is not talking trash; he is voicing a widely-held opinion. I have read every word of what he and many others have said recently, and there is nothing trashy about his demeanor or his choice of words. It is called anger, and it's about time.

Right wing, neocons, conservatives are the ones who are Anti-American. True Americans are the ones who speak out and are not afraid to, when the govt is dead wrong. One day these brainwashed people will wake up and see. That what they have been fed is a bunch of crap. We don't need Cheerleaders for this Bush administration, We need someone to hold them Accountable... Ever heard of "CHECKS AND BALANCES". That has been missing for four years.
