They don't want to take away work from there former buddies -defense lawyers who lose work without Jessica's law --they can flea bargain these criminals -this law takes work away from them and in most cases their clients get off with easier sentences.

As a corrections officer- maybe the judges who sentence these predators sympathize because they are commiting or fantasize of the same acts?
