i want a ps3 but my friend told me to get a 360 but i am a sony fan b/c of their ps2 so should i want to know is the ps3 worth buying

ok i think i might be the only ps3 owner answering this question lol....and is the ps3 worth buying?...yes it is the games are great the online play is free and just as good as xbox live.....just don't get too upset if you get one and there arn't as many games out there b/c the system is still rather new....and plus if you were a fan of the ps2 you will still be able to play some of your old favs on it. Its a great overall system and you wouldn't be upset if you got one trust me...but i also own an xbox 360 and it is also a good system i would make your decision off of what kind of games you like to play ......but please do not buy a damn Wii

I own a PS3 60 GB and it was worth it. 360 isn't as good. Blieve me you'll love the PS3. I have also installed yellow Dog Linux on my PS3 and it's pretty darn cool.
The only draw back to me was I had a 64MB game card for PS2 to transfer all my games saves over to the PS3.Well the PS3 would not take my aftermarket card. So had to borrow a friends 8MB card and break mine up into pieces.
But I have a 360 also and believe me the graphics are WAY better on the PS3. Some people will be talking about the game selection (HELLO 360 HAS BEEN OUT FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS). Also they will say look at the money savings (ADD YOUR HD DVD DRIVE TO YOUR 360 FOR ANOTHER $200)
If it were me skip the 360 and go out and get you a PS3 don't forget to buy an extra controller. I bought an extra controller and have it charging while playing with my other one. Yeah you don't have to buy batteries for the controllers like the WII and 360.
Wii's are okay for the budget minded gamer
360's are for the average gamer
PS3 are for the hardcore gamer

I am a Sony fan just like you are. I have the Original Playstation, Playstation 2, and I own the 60GB Playstation 3. Buy the Playstation 3, it is worth the money. If you are familiar with Sony and it's games why switch over to the Xbox 360? Their are a few new things coming up for the PS3, such as a new virtual gaming community, and plenty of awesome upcoming games such as The Getaway 3, Lair, Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War 3 and more. Plus the PS3 has the Sixaxis controller that will allow you to play PS3 games like never before. What's new about the 360?..... Nothing!!!
If your friend is telling you not to buy a PS3 and is telling you to buy a 360, I bet that he/she probably doesn't have a PS3 and will be jealous of you if you buy the more expensive and better game console. Please buy the PS3, you will not regret it.

Yes the PS3 is worth buying and you can play your ps2
games on it and transfer your old game saves over to the ps3 hard drive.
We have tested and accepted reviews on all three systems. As far as graphics are concerned the xbox 360 and PS3 capable of 1080p are both similar since the xbox has recently released a 1080i update allowing the 360 to display full 1080i on 1080i capable t.vs. Prior to this update the 360 couldn't go 1080i. So the number of 1080p games available to both systems is about the same.
Playstation 3 does offer more out off the box than Xbox 360, and the PS3 network is free to owners of the PS3.

yes , forget all the crap these people are telling you about how bad a ps3 is. yes, these people are saying how bad a ps3 is but here's a question, "do they have it?". they are just saying this crap because they can't get one. i was one of the 400,000 owners that got a ps3 and i love it.right now they do have a limited selection of games but real soon many games will be out for it. the ps3 can play ps3 games,ps2 games and ps1 games along with blue ray discs , dvd's,and cd's.the expensive one gets internet connection. now there are people who claim that the ps3 is copying other systems.well , back when the ps1 came out, it had 3-d graphics, and a couple months later nintendo 64 copied their idea. once the ps3 released with built in blue-ray disc player , the 360 released a hd-dvd drive to their 360. pretty soon, microsoft will release another 360 with bigger hard drive and built-in hd-dvd player. so to answer your question get ps3 because it is worth it.

I have both. But I highly recommend PS3. Go for it if you want an ultimate "enterainment" experience, Gaming, Watching movie and even listening to music and storing pictures. It work great with all other Sony products.
Watch out for PS3 HOME coming soon. An ultimate online gaming experience beats XBOX Live

PS3s are not worth buying. It is extremely expensive and is good only for the graphics. If you want intense, exciting games with good graphics, get an Xbox 360. It's not as expensive as the PS3 and has some very good games. If you want fun, interactive party games then get a Wii. Wiis are very cheap compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3.
