When you meet someone, ask them questions about themselves. people love to talk about themselves! :)

If they ask you questions back that's when you know that they are interested in being friends with you too!

I used to suck at making friends too. When I was in 10th grade I only had two friends. By the time I was a senior I had several friends but still had a hard time when I met new people. By the time I was about 23, I was much more able to make friends quickly when I first met people.

I think part of it is just that we mature socially as we get older. Part of it is just giving yourself time to learn and grow. Otherwise the only things I can say are, ask people about themselves. You've probably heard that people like to talk about themselves and it's true! If you can find something that you have in common you can talk with them about it.

it happens so the same to me!!!!!! generally when i meet someone, i prefer a person introduce me so when i don't have anything more to talk about the person i have just meet, i start talking with my friend and / or telling the other person anecdotes of we both, that makes time and they're great if they are funny. If i meet people by myself, i just ask, ask, ask every single thing that pops into my mind : do you like this thing? which are your hobbies? do you like to dance? and so on. i generally don't meet people by groups because you may know, u feel sort of loose
