I wouldn't. Matsui is a top 10 outfielder. Verlander is a good pitcher, but you can pick up Chuck James or Brad Penny of the waiver wire, both decent pitchers with k's and wins. Nate Robertson has been called the most consistent pitcher on the tigers this spring (believe it or not) and Clay Hensley could be an option too.
If you want to trade Matsui, try to get a better pitcher or another player in addition to Verlander. Keep in mind that Matsui is usually gone by the sixth round, whereas Verlander is still available up to the eleventh.
Also depends on what your team is weak in. If you have a loaded outfield and weak pitching then maybe accept the trade.

It all depends on what you have if you have many good offensive players and not so good pitchers, YES. If your pitching staff is great and your offense not so much than NO. Its all about where you are weak and where you are strong at and you should determine your trade from there.

Yea, sure no problem. Why not? If you need the SP and can spare the OF'er, go for it.
